Pen Pal With Me!

Dear Erynn...

Hello! Welcome to my blog! I am really excited about this post today.

Several weeks ago I filmed my letter-writing process as I wrote a letter to my pen pal, Erynn. I actually wrote the letter over a few days and ended up rushing it into the mailbox because we were leaving on a weekend trip that day. Not to worry; she has since received the letter and replied. 😉

My video is definitely different from “pen pal with me” videos that you might see on YouTube. Those videos are all pretty much the same and they seem to focus a lot on decorating the letter and making millions of things to put in the envelope. As nice as those things are, I feel as though they place an emphasis on the wrong part of having a pen pal.

The most important part of having a pen pal is the letter and what you’re saying than what it looks like. I would much rather get a very boring-looking letter that’s six pages long than an aesthetic letter that’s only one page long. The extra things are definitely fun to find in a letter, though. That’s my opinion at least. 🙃
